Paraguay Grows 16.5% in Gaming Revenue, Strengthening Its Regional Appeal

The CONAJZAR report confirms a positive first half of the year for the Paraguayan market, amid increasing professionalization, international interest and ongoing regulatory discussions.
The Paraguayan gaming market continues to show clear signs of growth. According to the latest report from the National Gaming Commission — CONAJZAR, under the National Directorate of Tax Revenue — DNIT, sector revenues reached PYG 113.794 billion during the first half of 2026, equivalent to approximately USD 18.7 million.
The figure represents a 16.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025, when revenue collection reached PYG 97.711 billion, approximately USD 16 million.
In June alone, revenue collection reached PYG 19.549 billion, around USD 3.2 million, representing a 3.8% year-on-year increase compared to the same month of the previous year.
The monthly performance reported by CONAJZAR reflects sustained growth throughout the semester, with revenues of PYG 18.703 billion in January, PYG 18.022 billion in February, PYG 18.583 billion in March, PYG 19.301 billion in April, PYG 19.632 billion in May and PYG 19.549 billion in June.
These figures reinforce Paraguay’s strategic momentum: a market with greater regional visibility, growing interest from international operators and suppliers, and an agenda increasingly focused on regulation, technology, omnichannel strategies, compliance, legal certainty and the professionalization of the sector.
Part of the collected gaming fees are allocated to the Directorate of Charity and Social Assistance — DIBEN, which finances assistance programs for vulnerable communities. In addition, these resources are transferred to regional governments and municipalities for local projects, while also supporting the Ministry of Sports, DNIT and the National Treasury.
