September in Quito

In line with its expansion strategy in high-potential emerging markets, SAGSE announced the launch of SAGSE Ecuador 2026, a new initiative that will be held under a boutique, exclusive, invitation-only format in September in the city of Quito.

Unlike its traditional formats, this edition will be limited to 100 participants, including operators, regulators, platforms, fintechs, technology providers, and key players in the digital ecosystem, within an environment designed to foster strategic conversations and concrete decision-making.

According to the organizers, the goal is to position Ecuador as one of the most relevant online markets in the Andean region in the coming years.

With a population of 18.2 million, more than 15.2 million internet users, and a digital penetration rate of 83.7%, Ecuador is beginning to stand out as a market with strong development potential for online gaming.

This is further supported by a clear sign of sector evolution: the Internal Revenue Service confirmed the existence of 65 registered operators in sports betting activities, reflecting the beginning of a more structured phase of the market, with greater visibility, oversight, and operational organization.

In this context, SAGSE Ecuador presents itself as a platform to connect companies looking to enter, expand, or consolidate their position in the country.

A format focused on strategic value

The event will be developed under the concept “Boutique. By invitation. Online-first.”, with a clear focus on digital business and regulatory analysis.

The agenda will be centered on:

  • closed-door roundtables
  • institutional discussions
  • analysis of the political and regulatory landscape
  • commercial opportunities in the online environment

Key thematic areas will include sportsbook, iGaming, payments, KYC, AML, anti-fraud, affiliation, user acquisition, technology platforms, and regional expansion.

One of the event’s key differentiators will be its restricted access model, with an invitation process designed exclusively for profiles with real decision-making power.

Participants will include representatives from both the public and private sectors, including operators, regulators, platforms, payment companies, technology providers, affiliates, media, and legal and tax advisors.

According to SAGSE, the event’s logic is to prioritize the quality of networking over the volume of attendees.

SAGSE Ecuador will feature a reduced number of commercial spaces, with sponsorship packages designed to maximize visibility in a highly concentrated decision-making environment.

Available categories include Silver, Gold, and Platinum, each offering different levels of exposure and participation.
